Amanda Unsworth: Discovering Heart and Thrombosis Science at Be Curious
Amanda Unsworth, Researcher in Thrombosis and Haemostasis, Lecturer at University of Leeds, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“How does the heart work? and what happens when blood gets sticky?
Key questions we were answering at this year’s Be Curious event at the University of Leeds!
With 3,000 tickets sold, Leeds Thrombosis Network and Leeds Heart Beats welcomed a steady stream of curious visitors throughout the day and helped them explore the fascinating world of cardiovascular biology and thrombosis!
Our visitors got stuck into a range of hands-on activities, including:
- Learning about different blood cells
- Building their own blood clot
- Completing our blood vessel tunnel challenge
- Exploring heart biology
- Practising lifesaving skills with CPR
