“Time is brain, and one reason is that a thrombus develops over time.
I had the opportunity to comment on the work of Zang and colleagues, describing how blood clots become more stiff and harder to treat within hours and over days.
The culprit?
Serpin B3-positive neutrophils, which upregulate TGF-β1 and promote collagen deposition.
