Nancy Di Salvo: UNITAR and GBS|CIDP Foundation International Unite to Advance Plasma4Life
Nancy Di Salvo, Director of International Affairs at GBS-CIDP Foundation International, reposted from UNITAR on LinkedIn:
”GBS|CIDP Foundation International is proud to officially partner with UNITAR through this new Memorandum of Understanding and to bring the voice of the GBS, CIDP, MMN, and related conditions community to the global Plasma4Life initiative.
For people living with immune-mediated neuropathies, access to plasma-derived medicinal products is not simply a healthcare issue, it is the difference between uncertainty & disability against hope & life.
We are grateful to the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) for recognizing the importance of patient organizations as partners in building stronger and more equitable health systems.
Together, we look forward to advancing awareness, fostering collaboration, and creating meaningful change for patients and their families worldwide.
Thank you to everyone who has made this partnership possible.
This is only the beginning!”
Quoting United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR)‘s post:
”Equitable access begins where partnerships take root.
UNITAR and the GBS|CIDP Foundation International have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding to advance access to plasma-derived medicinal products and support people affected by Guillain-Barré syndrome, chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy and related conditions.
The partnership will also strengthen the patient voice within our Plasma4Life initiative, ensuring that future activities respond to the needs of patients and their families.
Together, we will advance equitable access to care and contribute to stronger, more responsive health systems worldwide.”
