Zubair Naimullah: Early Recognition of Deep Vein Thrombosis Can Save Lives
Zubair Naimullah, Assistant Pharmacist, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT): Recognize It Before It Becomes an Emergency.
A blood clot in a deep vein can silently become life-threatening if it travels to the lungs.
Common warning signs:
- One-sided leg swelling
- Calf pain or tenderness
- Warm, red skin
- Heavy or tight leg
Risk factors include prolonged immobility, surgery, pregnancy, hormone therapy, cancer, and previous DVT.
Early diagnosis and prompt treatment with appropriate medical care can significantly reduce complications.
Knowledge saves lives.
Share this with healthcare professionals, students, and anyone who wants to recognize DVT early.”
