Kemal Karaagac: Early DOAC Initiation After Acute Ischaemic Stroke in Atrial Fibrillation
Kemal Karaagac, Cardiologist at Cihangir Hospital, shared a post on X about a recent article by Hakim-Moulay Dehbi et al., published in The Lancet, adding:
“Early DOAC initiation (within 4 days) after acute ischaemic stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation reduced the 30-day risk of recurrent ischaemic stroke, symptomatic intracerebral haemorrhage, or unclassified stroke, supporting earlier anticoagulation.”
