Melissa Hollo: Improving Presurgical Anemia Management at Jefferson Health
Melissa Hollo, Director of Project Management at hc1 and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Celebrating the team at Jefferson Health!
A special shout out to Anthony Scarpaci, Amy Della Penna and Katy Loos for their outstanding work advancing presurgical anemia management across Jefferson Health’s East Region.
Through program expansion and process improvement, their team is translating clinical practice into meaningful results.
Among patients optimized through the program over the past year, only one required a transfusion, and optimized patients have experienced shorter lengths of stay.
The team is also identifying significant opportunities to improve care in general surgery, orthopedics, and women’s health.Congratulations on this incredible progress and your continued commitment to optimizing patients before surgery!”
