Anne Troldborg: Preventing Thrombosis in SLE Before the First Event

Anne Troldborg, Associate Professor at Aarhus Rheumatology Research Center, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article she and Mads Lamm Larsen co-authored, published in Nature Reviews Rheumatology, adding:

“We should stop waiting for the clot!

This is the message that my colleague and postdoc Mads Lamm Larsen and I hope to bring into the spotlight with our new Comment in Nature Reviews Rheumatology:

‘Rethinking thrombosis prevention in systemic lupus erythematosus‘

Thrombosis remains one of the most devastating complications of SLE, yet primary prevention is still a remarkably underexplored area.

Should we really wait for the first thrombotic event before acting?

This is a topic very close to both our hearts, and we are truly grateful to Nature Reviews Rheumatology for giving us the opportunity to share our perspective.

We hope our Comment will spark discussion and encourage new research in an area that we believe deserves much more attention.

We would love to hear your thoughts!”
