“Shared from WFH:
A major step forward for the global bleeding disorders community!
Following the historic decision at the WHO Executive Board, a draft resolution on advancing health equity for people with hemophilia and other Bleeding Disorders will now move to the World Health Assembly (WHA) for final adoption in May.
The resolution outlines concrete actions for governments and the World Health Organization (WHO) to improve diagnosis, equitable access to treatment, prophylaxis and home treatment, comprehensive care, data collection, awareness-raising, the recognition of World Hemophilia Day as a global public health day, the establishment of consultative mechanisms with local bleeding disorders organizations, and other key actions.
Read what this resolution could mean in practice, and what comes next here.”
