Brian Casey: SNMMI26 Image of the Year Highlights Novel DVT Imaging Technique
Brian Casey, Managing Editor at The Imaging Wire, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The Image of the Year award at SNMMI26 was given to researchers from South Korea for a study using the radiotracer 18F-GP1 PET/CT to identify acute lower extremity deep vein thrombosis.
It showed high diagnostic accuracy for detecting clots not only in the thigh but also in the calf, and had a high detection rate of pulmonary embolism occurring together with DVT.”
