Gülşah Türkoğlu: On World Stroke Day, We Came Together to Commemorate This Important Global Health Occasion
Gülşah Türkoğlu, Business Marketing Manager, IGT – Middle East, Turkey and Africa at Philips, shared on LinkedIn:
”On 29th October – World Stroke Day, we came together to commemorate this important global health occasion with a shared commitment to raising awareness about stroke prevention, treatment, and survivor support across our Middle East, Türkiye and Africa zone.
From South Africa to North Africa, Dubai to Saudi Arabia, our Philips teams joined the global movement, marking the day with activities that acknowledged the growing impact of stroke and the importance of timely action.
To honor the occasion, we hosted a very special Virtual Coffee Corner moderated by Marc-Antoine Zora, featuring two leading experts in the stroke domain — Prof. Serdar Geyik, Interventional Neuroradiologist, and Dr. Arsida Bajrami, Interventional Neurologist.
Together, they discussed the realities of stroke, its global burden, and the vital role that early intervention plays in saving lives.
The session aimed to increase awareness, encourage prevention, and promote better care and outcomes for those affected by stroke.
At Philips, we are proud to be at the forefront of innovation in Image Guided Therapy and stroke care — supporting healthcare providers in advancing faster diagnosis, smarter workflows, and improved patient outcomes.
We remain united with the World Stroke Organization, our solution partners like Nicolab, and other industry collaborators such as Medtronic, behind a simple yet powerful message:
Every M1nute Counts — because Time is Brain!”
