International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Over 85 percent of premature deaths from NCDs occur in low- and middle-income countries, making NCDs not only a health issue, but also an issue of development and equity.

The ISTH is proud to support the Global Week for Action on NCDs and efforts to ensure that where a person lives does not determine their access to prevention, diagnosis and life-saving care.

Closing these gaps requires stronger health systems, sustained investment and action from governments worldwide.

We need leaders to Lead On NCDs, bridge the equity gap and help make quality care accessible to all.
