Jacqui McCallum Reflects on Meeting with The Royal Melbourne Hospital Stroke and Neurology Ward Team
Jacqui McCallum, Executive Director Brand, Communications and Advocacy at Stroke Foundation, shared on LinkedIn:
”This morning, I joined fellow Stroke Foundation newbies, James Burnet (Chief Financial and Operating Officer) and Rachel Bailey (Executive Director Fundraising and Development) for a tour of The Royal Melbourne Hospital Stroke and Neurology Ward.
We were hosted by Nurse Unit Manager, Corey Swift and Stroke Nurse Practitioner, Lou Weir who walked us through the fast-paced and finely coordinated care their team delivers around the clock.
RMH cares for around 170 stroke and neurology patients each month.
When every minute counts, their expertise and teamwork help protect brain function and give people the best possible chance of recovery.
A huge thank you to Corey, Lou and the whole team for the work they do and for taking the time to answer our 3,682 questions.”
