Strengthening Haemophilia Care Through National Guidelines in Kenya – Kenya Haemophilia Association
Kenya Haemophilia Association shared a post on LinkedIn:
”On 14th and 15th August 2026, the Kenya Haemophilia Association Medical Advisory Committee (KHA-MAC) held a two-day workshop in Nairobi to review and compile the draft Kenya National Clinical Guidelines for the Management of Haemophilia.
The workshop brought together multidisciplinary technical experts and healthcare providers from Haemophilia Treatment Centres across Kenya.
The team reviewed evidence and current practices, harmonised approaches to haemophilia management, and worked towards guidelines that respond to the needs of patients and healthcare providers at different levels of care.
The draft guidelines will be submitted to the Ministry of Health Haematological Technical Working Group for further review and consideration.
The team also had the opportunity to engage with Thomas Gowa, Regional Manager – East, Central and Southern Africa, World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH), who shared valuable insights on strengthening haemophilia care and treatment across the region.
We sincerely appreciate the World Federation of Hemophilia or its continued support towards strengthening haemophilia care and improving access to quality treatment and comprehensive care for people with haemophilia in Kenya.”
