Manuel Monreal: Why IVC Filter Retrieval Matters for VTE Outcomes

“New RIETE data suggest that IVC filter retrieval matters: retained filters were associated with more recurrent VTE, even among patients receiving anticoagulation.
Timely retrieval and structured follow-up may improve outcomes.”
