Nicole Odofin: The First Blood Drive Event at Channel 4
Nicole Odofin, Growth Manager at Channel 4, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Can’t believe how busy it’s all been that I forgot to post about this!
The other week, Channel 4 showed up and showed out again!
You might recall last November we ran the first blood drive event in collab with The Collective and NHS Blood and Transplant.
Well, it was such a success that we had to regroup and go again and this time it was even better!
Furthering our efforts from last year, more than 60 people took action by either registering as a new donor, booking at donor centres or booking at mobile sessions.
Also with a number of colleagues mentioning that since the last event, they have gone on to donate!
- New registrations
- Donations scheduled
- Lives saved
Everyone says it but this is why I love Channel 4 – it’s the people.
From Internal Comms to Commercial Affairs, Catering, Security and Facilities, everyone got involved which means more potential lifesaving donations added to the system.
What an amazing community effort.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the event so successful, particularly my co-hosts Mandy Mayers and Eleanor Chipperfield.
And a massive shoutout to Sickle FES Cic for continually sharing the importance of blood donation for Sickle Cell patients.
If you’re keen to know how you can start this in the companies you work for, please don’t hesitate to drop me a message or comment, more than happy to help.”
