Nilesh Jethwa: Reported Adverse Events and Safety Signals With Ofatumumab

Nilesh Jethwa, Founder and CEO at InfoCaptor (Rudrasoft), shared a post on X:

The adverse event reports for ofatumumab indicate a total of 3,291 reports spanning from July 2024 to June 2026.

The most frequently reported adverse events include febrile neutropenia (500 reports), neutropenia (380 reports), and anemia (320 reports). Among the outcomes, 383 reports were classified as Fatal, while many others were categorized as Unknown or Recovered, suggesting a mix of severity in the reported cases.

Serious reactions frequently included febrile neutropenia and neutropenia, indicating these may be significant concerns. There is a notable difference in the sex breakdown, with more reports from males (1,516) compared to females (1,145).

The reporting trend appears to be stable over the recent months, with fluctuations but no clear rising or falling pattern. Additionally, serious-sounding terms such as hemorrhage and thrombocytopenia were also reported.

It is important to note that these adverse event reports are spontaneous and voluntary, do not establish causation, may contain duplicates, and cannot be used to calculate true incidence or risk.”
