Quentin Hill: Collaborative Progress in Immune Thrombocytopenia Drug Development

Quentin Hill, Consultant Haematologist at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, shared Caroline Voltz-Girolt‘s post on LinkedIn, adding:

“In 2014, the EMA published guidelines for the development of medicinal products intended for treatment of chronic ITP.

The workshop below is part of a workstream that will result in an update of those guidelines. Very grateful to the EMA for taking the perspectives of clinicians and expert patients into consideration, and looking forward to publication of this important update.

Thanks also to Caroline Voltz-Girolt for seamless organisation”

Caroline Voltz-Girolt, Senior Scientific Officer in Office of Advanced Therapies and Haemato-Oncology at European Medicines Agency, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“On 30 June 2026, EMA organised a workshop on the challenges in drug development, regulation and clinical practice in immune thrombocytopenia.

We had highly insightful discussions on this topic. A sincere thank you to all the speakers for their comprehensive presentations, thoughtful perspectives, and excellent contributions to the discussion.”
