Somia Iqtadar։ A Meeting with the Scientist Who Helped Transform Anticoagulation
Somia Iqtadar, Senior Vice President Operations at Pakistan Society Of Internal Medicine, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Last night at McMaster International Review Conference of Internal Medicine (MIRCIM),I had the privilege of meeting Prof. Jack Hirsh, a Canadian clinician and scientist, and Prof emeritus at McMaster University whose work in thrombosis has changed medicine worldwide.
He introduced the concept of INR – now a cornerstone of anticoagulation management.
At 91 years old, he’s still driving breakthrough research and gearing up for a new project soon.
Standing with a physician whose impact spans generations – and is still growing – is humbling.
Thank you, Dr. Hirsh, for your monumental contributions to science and patient.”
