Stuart Andrew: NHS Blood and Transplant Strengthening the Blood Supply
Stuart Andrew, Shadow Secretary of State for Health and Social Care at The Conservative Party, shared on LinkedIn:
”It was good to recently visit an NHS Blood and Transplant donation session in Daventry and see first-hand the work that goes into maintaining our blood supply.
I met members of the Northamptonshire team and local donors, and heard more about blood stocks, resilience and the longer-term plans for blood and plasma services.
Having previously met NHS Blood and Transplant in Parliament, it was particularly useful to continue that conversation on the ground and see the dedication of the teams delivering these services locally.
Thank you to everyone who gives blood and to the NHS Blood and Transplant staff who make donation sessions like this possible.
It’s in your blood to save lives. Find your nearest donor centre and book today via the GiveBloodNHS app.”
