Tariq Tramboo: High Platelet Concentrate for Osteoarthritis Knee – Recent Meta-Analyses
Tariq Tramboo, MD. FIPP, Interventional Pain Specialist, shared a post on X:
“High platelet Concentrate for Osteoarthritis knee – Recent meta-analyses (2025)
A meta-analysis of 18 placebo-controlled RCTs (1,995 patients) found clinically relevant functional improvement at 12 months versus placebo.
Only high-platelet-concentration PRP gave pain relief above the MCID up to 12 months; in low-platelet preparations, the difference vs placebo was not significant.
At Relief pain services Kashmir we use high platelet concentrate and the high quality growth factor concentrate in selected patients with grade 1 to 2 Osteoarthritis.
Wishing you all a pain-free weekend.”
