”Healthcare practitioners, personnel involved in the care of patients with venous thromboembolism, and patient organizations should join together in the global recognition of and awareness on this severe condition, which causes nearly 100,000 deaths per year and is diagnosed in at least 500,000 people per year (only in Europe).
