Lucien Blondel on Resolve Stroke: To Be Used In the SCULPT Trial
Lucien Blondel, Co-Founder of Quantum Surgical, shared on LinkedIn:
”Resolve Stroke, a French startup developing an ultrasound-based solution to accelerate time to treatment, announced enrollment of first patient in the SCULPT trial.
Over a 6 month period, data will be collected for up to 50 patients of the neuro-intensive care unit at Montpellier University Hospital.
In ICU, patients admitted after brain injuries require daily monitoring.
Traditional X-ray based imaging is the gold standard but has limitations: transporting vulnerable patients, radiation exposure, logistics, etc.
The company led by Aritz Zamacola is betting on advanced software that would transform raw acoustic data into biomarkers.
The SYLVER system enables live imaging of cerebral vasculature and perfusion directly at patient’s bedside.”
