Dino Mehic, Physician Scientist at the Medical University of Vienna, shared on LinkedIn:
“Bleeding Disorder of Unknown Cause (BDUC): What Do We Know?
- We are excited to share that we recently summarized nearly two decades of clinical and research experience in the management of patients with bleeding disorders of unknown cause (BDUC).
- This review represents a long-standing, collaborative effort to better understand the natural history of BDUC led by Ingrid Pabinger, Johanna Gebhart, and Cihan Ay at our institution (Medical University of Vienna).
- At the American Society of Hematology 2025 Annual Meeting in Orlando, Prof. Pabinger presented our current understanding of how to predict and treat BDUC-an important step toward improving care for this under-recognized patient population.
Title: Predictors for future bleeding in bleeding disorder of unknown cause
