WFH Workshop on WGBDs in Jordan Focused on Raising Awareness and Priorities for a 2026 Action Plan
World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) shared on LinkedIn:
”Last month, the WFH organized a workshop on Women and Girls with Bleeding Disorders (WGBDs) in Jordan, co-hosted by the Jordanian Thalassemia and Hemophilia Society.
The 2-day Workshop included sessions with healthcare practitioners (HCPs) and WGBDs providing an opportunity to share knowledge, experiences, and best practices.
It focused on raising awareness among HCPs and on priority setting for a 2026 action plan for WGBDs.
The WFH team and volunteers, including WFH VP NMO, Emna Gouider and Elizabete Argale, MD, also had discussions with high level officials including Qassem Sharsheer, MD, and visited the HTC at Al-Bashir Hospital for meetings with the multidisciplinary team and a briefing about plans forward to improve care and treatment.”
