“Prof. Giuseppe Curigliano returns to his Catholic University and the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome: a moment of scientific excellence and inspiration!
We were honored to welcome Prof. Giuseppe Curigliano, internationally renowned oncologist, Full Professor of Medical Oncology at the University of Milan, Director of the Division “Development of new drugs for innovative therapies” of the IEO in Milan and President-elect of ESMO.
We had the privilege of listening to a very high-profile lecture dedicated to therapeutic innovation in breast cancer, within the Integrated Breast Center of the A. Gemelli University Hospital Foundation IRCCS.
Lecture title:
“Antibody Drug Conjugate in Breast Cancer: Targets, Results and Future Prospects”.
The event was attended by authoritative representatives of our academic and clinical community:
Prof. Alessandro Sgambato – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Catholic University of the Sacred Heart
Prof. Eugenio Mercuri – Director of the Department of Women’s, Children’s and Public Health, Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS
Prof. Giampaolo Tortora – Director of the Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Medical Oncology Unit, Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS
Their presence underlined the importance of creating spaces for scientific discussion capable of integrating research, innovation and clinical practice.
I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Alessandra Fabi, Head of the UOSD of Precision Medicine in Senology, with whom I shared with great pleasure the scientific responsibility of the event. His competence, vision and passion have contributed decisively to the success of the initiative.
A sincere thank you to Prof. Curigliano for accepting our invitation, for his valuable contribution and for sharing with us a moment of authentic scientific, professional and human value.
A meeting that brought to our Center not only knowledge but also the history of a training course that began right here, in his Catholic University and in our Gemelli Polyclinic.”
