“This study provides an important and thought-provoking challenge to existing paradigms regarding coagulation factor dynamics during pregnancy in hemophilia B carriers.
The observation that antenatal FIX levels may increase—contrary to current guidance—has direct implications for risk stratification, peripartum planning, and therapeutic decision-making.
It underscores the need for individualized longitudinal monitoring rather than reliance on static baseline assumptions.
Moreover, these findings highlight a critical gap in evidence-based recommendations and reinforce the urgency of generating high-quality prospective data to inform updated clinical guidelines.
A valuable contribution toward more precise and personalized hemostatic care in women with inherited bleeding disorders.”
