James Smith: Brain Training and Exercise for Cognitive Recovery After Stroke
James Smith, Graduate Teaching Assistant at Lancaster University, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in Stroke Insights, adding:
“Really pleased to see our research on improving cognitive function after stroke featured by Stroke Insights, a collaboration between European Stroke Organisation and SHINE Global Stroke Collaboration.
The summary looks at whether exercise and cognition-oriented interventions can improve cognitive function after stroke, and presents the findings in an accessible format for stroke survivors, carers and clinicians.
Our review found the strongest evidence for cognition-orientated interventions, while evidence for exercise alone remains less certain.”
