Teclistamab Shows Promise in Refractory Autoantibody-Mediated Coagulation Disorders – JTH
Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis (JTH) shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Johannes Thaler et al, adding:
“Teclistamab for the treatment of autoantibody-mediated coagulation disorders.
In a retrospective series, seven patients with refractory or rapidly progressive autoantibody-mediated coagulation disorders received teclistamab: two had acquired von Willebrand disease, two acquired factor XI deficiency, and three catastrophic antiphospholipid syndrome.
All achieved reported complete remission, at a median of 24 weeks.
Three patients developed grade 1 cytokine release syndrome, and all received immunoglobulin replacement.
These uncontrolled observations support further investigation of plasma cell-directed treatment; they cannot establish comparative efficacy or safety.”
