Leonardo Augusto Carbonera: MAPSTROKE Analysis to Enhance Stroke Implementation in Italy
Leonardo Augusto Carbonera, Operational Project Leader at Moinhos de Vento Hospital, shared on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, adding:
”This is our latest MAPSTROKE paper, published in the European Stroke Journal!
The computational strategy, developed in partnership with the Department of Informatics in Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, was applied in the Italian scenario to map the current coverage and access to acute stroke treatments and stroke unit beds.
This work would not have been possible without the support of Enrica Franchini, Ettore Nicolini, Antonio Ciacciarelli, Paola Santalucia, Valeria Caso, and Danilo Toni, Italian colleagues and friends!
Special thanks, once again, to the SBCB Lab (Leonardo Dorneles, Mateus Boiani, Andre Frainer and Marcio Dorn) for the computational expertise.
I hope this analysis may enhance the powerful stroke implementation plan in Italy!”
