Muhammad Usman Arshad: Meta-Analysis Supports Expanding Role of DOACs in Cancer-Associated Thromboembolism
Muhammad Usman Arshad, MBBS Student at Shalamar Medical and Dental College, shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and his colleagues co-authored, published in World Journal of Clinical Cases, adding:
“Delighted to share that our meta-analysis has been published in the World Journal of Clinical Cases.
Direct oral anticoagulants versus low-molecular-weight heparins for cancer-associated thromboembolism — a synthesis of 29 studies examining one of the most clinically consequential questions in oncology-hematology practice.
Cancer-associated thromboembolism remains a leading cause of mortality in patients with malignancy.
For years, LMWHs were the standard of care — but the landscape has been shifting.
This work adds to the growing body of evidence informing that transition.
To every co-author, collaborator, and the patients whose data made this possible — thank you.”
