Vimal Koshy Thomas: Adding to the Evidence Base for Endovascular Therapy Beyond 24 Hours
Vimal Koshy Thomas, Emergency Medicine Specialist at Hamad Medical Corporation, shared on LinkedIn about a recent article he and Mervin Christo C Babu co-authored, published in American Journal of Emergency Medicine, adding:
”Delighted to share that our latest study, ‘Endovascular Intervention for Acute Stroke in the Very Late Window: A Meta-analysis of 90-day mRS and Procedural Outcomes,’ has been accepted in the American Journal of Emergency Medicine (AJEM).
This work explores the effectiveness of endovascular therapy beyond 24 hours in acute ischemic stroke patients and adds to the growing evidence supporting carefully selected late-window interventions.
Grateful to my co-author Dr. Mervin Christo C Babu for his excellent collaboration.”
