Heghine Khachatryan: The Hemophilia Landscape in Armenia has Changed Dramatically – For the Better
Heghine Khachatryan, Editor-in-Chief of Hemostasis Today, Head of Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center at Yeolyan Hematology and Oncology Center, posted on LinkedIn:
“Over the past years, the hemophilia landscape in Armenia has changed dramatically—for the better.
Today, we are building a system that is stronger, more coordinated, and more patient-centered than ever before:
- Reliable partnerships with leading international organizations and colleagues
- A strengthened laboratory base enabling more accurate and timely diagnostics
- Dedicated, well-trained clinicians and multidisciplinary teams
- Growing state support, including engagement and commitment from the Ministry of Health
- Improved hospital pathways for comprehensive hemophilia care
- A more active patient community and association, ensuring the patient voice is heard
We are grateful to all partners who continue to invest in Armenia’s hemophilia and inherited bleeding disorders community—especially the World Federation of Hemophilia (WFH) for standing with us and helping turn progress into sustainable impact.”
