A Call to Get the Biotech Act Right for The Millions Living with Bleeding Disorders – EHC
EHC – European Haemophilia Consortium shared on LinkedIn:
”Innovation without access is not progress.
On World Health Day, the EHC is calling on EU policymakers to get the Biotech Act right for the millions living with bleeding disorders who cannot afford to wait.
Science is moving fast.
Regulation and access must keep up.
The EHC demands:
- Patients at the table, not as an afterthought, but at every stage of research, trials, and regulatory decisions
- Real-world evidence that counts, because clinical trial data alone do not capture the full picture of patients’ lives
- Cross-border clinical trials to break down barriers and bring innovation to patients across Europe, no matter where they live
The theme of World Health Day 2026 is ‘Together for health: stand with science’.
Standing with science means ensuring that science stands for patients.
The EU Biotech Act is an opportunity. Let’s not waste it.
