Fabrice Cognasse: The EFS Is First and Foremost Part of a Medical Discipline – Transfusion

Fabrice Cognasse, Director of Research – Scientific Director at The EFS in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and INSERM, shared a post on LinkedIn:

”Two very enriching sessions today with the teams of the Bourg-en-Bresse site around the Scientific Department of the EFS AuRA / Inserm!

Fascinating exchanges, relevant questions and a strong conviction: the scientific approach is everywhere at the EFS.

It guides both our medico-technical activities and our support functions, in the service of quality, innovation and patients.

The EFS is first and foremost part of a medical discipline: transfusion.

A scientific heritage that dates back in particular to Jean-Baptiste Denis, a pioneer of the first transfusion experiments in the seventeenth century and a founding figure in the history of blood transfusion.

This scientific curiosity, this desire to understand, improve and innovate are fully shared by the teams – and it’s a real collective strength!

Thank you all for your warm welcome and the richness of the exchanges!”
