“A terrific time in Seoul at the World Stroke Organization Congress, with great scientific discussions, opportunities to learn about Korean culture from locals, and time to catch up with Canadian and international friends.
Thanks to Seoul National University Hospital, my friend Beom Joon Kim, and Korean colleagues for hosting Johanna Ospel and me and for the hospital and city tour.
Thanks to World Stroke Organization Committee for pulling off a great conference and inviting me to discuss on neuroprotection, no-reflow, and core-penumbra-oligemia revisited.
Thanks to the Italian Embassy in Korea for their great hospitality during the conference days Emilia Gatto.
Congrats to all my Italian colleagues for their contributions: Andrea Zini, Michele Romoli, Irene Scala, Federica Rizzo, Pietro Caliandro et al. Congrats to Giorgio Busto on winning an award for granular HIR, congrats to my mentor Andrew Demchuk on winning a career award, and congrats to Valeria Caso for stepping up as president-elect of the WSO.”
