Paschalis Evangelidis: The Multifactorial Nature of Cardiovascular Risk in People With Hemophilia
Paschalis Evangelidis, Medical Doctor, Former Teaching Assistant at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article he and Eleni Gavriilaki co-authored, published in Blood Advances, adding:
“Pleased to share our recent Letter to the Editor, published in Blood Advances, together with Eleni Gavriilaki.
In response to the recent study by Nagao et al., we highlight the multifactorial nature of cardiovascular risk in people with hemophilia, with particular emphasis on hypertension and its potential links to chronic inflammation, endothelial dysfunction, and vascular remodeling.
Moreover, we emphasize the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration among hematologists, cardiologists, hypertension specialists, and nephrologists to improve cardiovascular risk assessment and management in this population.”
