Andrea Van Beek: Anticoagulation and Thrombosis Services Now Available to Medi-Cal Patients in Tulare
Andrea Van Beek, Board of Directors of Anticoagulation Forum, National Certification Board for Anticoagulation Providers, shared on LinkedIn:
”I’m excited to share that our Anticoagulation and Thrombosis Service is accepting Medi-Cal patients in Tulare!
For years, many patients with blood clots, atrial fibrillation, heart valve replacements, and other complex anticoagulation needs have had limited access to specialized outpatient anticoagulation management.
These patients have navigated their care without a dedicated ‘home’ for ongoing support, education, and medication management.
Expanding access to the Medi-Cal population is an important step toward closing that gap!
My goal: provide timely, evidence-based, patient-centered anticoagulation and thrombosis care close to home to as many patients as possible!
Whether a patient is newly diagnosed with a blood clot, transitioning from the hospital, or requires long-term anticoagulation management, everyone deserves access to the same high-quality care.
I am grateful to the many individuals who helped make this possible, and look forward to continuing to serve patients throughout Tulare County!”
