Cihan Ay: ISTH 2026 Defined by Science and Collaboration
Cihan Ay, Professor of Haematology at Medical University of Vienna, shared on LinkedIn:
“As ISTH 2026 in Paris comes to a close, I would like to take a moment to reflect on what has been an extraordinary and truly memorable week.
It has been a privilege to be part of the Organizing Committee and to witness the enthusiasm, scientific excellence, and collaborative spirit that defined this congress.
None of this would have been possible without the dedication and passion of so many people.
A heartfelt thank you to our outstanding Plenary and State-of-the-Art speakers, to all colleagues who contributed to the innovative session formats, our Oral Communication presenters, Poster presenters, moderators, chairs, reviewers, the ISTH staff, our partners from industry, and, of course, the thousands of participants from around the world.
Your contributions, engagement, and lively discussions created an inspiring atmosphere throughout the meeting.
For me personally, serving as Clinical Chair has been an immense honor and one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career. ISTH 2026 will undoubtedly remain a memorable event.
I wish everyone a safe journey home and hope you leave Paris with new ideas, new collaborations, and lasting friendships.
Thank you for making ISTH 2026 such a remarkable congress.
I am already looking forward to seeing many of you again at ISTH 2027 in !”
