Giacomo Buso: Global Collaboration in Vascular Medicine at the XI ESVM Congress 2026
Giacomo Buso, Internal Medicine Physician, Angiologist FMH at Spedali Civili Hospital, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“The XI ESVM Congress 2026 has come to an end, and it has simply been amazing.
Outstanding scientific sessions, old friends and new connections, all in the beautiful setting of Lausanne, a city I had the privilege to call home for five years and to which I remain deeply connected.
Alongside an exceptional European faculty, this year we were fortunate to welcome colleagues from the Society for Vascular Medicine, bringing a truly enriching international perspective.
The contribution of other key European societies, including VASCERN, European Reference Network on Rare Multisystemic Vascular Diseases, European Society of Cardiology, and International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH), was really instrumental in shaping the strength of this meeting.
Vascular medicine is a comprehensive discipline that thrives on strong collaboration and multidisciplinary exchange.
It is through shared efforts like these that our field continues to grow and evolve.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this event possible, and especially to the young colleagues whose energy and contribution are so important.
They are the future of our society and of vascular medicine in Europe and worldwide, and they give us real hope for what lies ahead.
See you next year in Lausanne.”
