Mayank Dwivedi: Transforming Outcomes Through Speed and Innovation In Stroke
Mayank Dwivedi, Zonal Sales Manager at Emcure Pharmaceuticals Limited, shared on LinkedIn:
”Latest Advances in Stroke Treatment: Transforming Outcomes Through Speed and Innovation
The landscape of acute ischemic stroke management continues to evolve rapidly.
Recent advancements have expanded the treatment window for mechanical thrombectomy in selected patients up to 24 hours from symptom onset through advanced imaging-based patient selection. This has enabled many more patients to benefit from life-saving interventions.
Artificial Intelligence (AI)-assisted imaging is now helping stroke teams identify large vessel occlusions faster, reducing door-to-needle and door-to-puncture times.
Mobile Stroke Units and telestroke networks are further improving access to expert care, especially in underserved regions.
Emerging evidence also supports optimized use of thrombolytic agents, with Tenecteplase gaining increasing acceptance due to its ease of administration and favorable clinical outcomes in appropriate patients.
The message remains clear: ‘Time is Brain’
Every minute saved translates into better neurological outcomes and improved quality of life for stroke survivors.
As healthcare professionals, our collective focus should remain on strengthening stroke awareness, rapid diagnosis, streamlined treatment pathways, and multidisciplinary stroke systems of care.”
