Today the World Health Organization Executive Board EB158 approved the decision to recommend adoption of the resolution on Global Action to Advance Health Equity for People with Hemophilia and Other Bleeding Disorders at the 79th World Health Assembly (WHA) in May 2026!

This decision marks a vital step forward toward the final adoption of this resolution in May, leading to greater health equity for people with Bleeding Disorders.

The World Federation of Hemophilia would like to especially acknowledge the unwavering leadership of the Republic of Armenia, and all co-sponsoring Member States including Bosnia & Herzegovina, Egypt, Georgia, Iraq, Latvia, Malta, Morocco, Nepal, Paraguay, Spain, Sri Lanka and Togo, and to over 80 patient and medical associations who have joined the WFH’s Global Call for Health Equity for Bleeding Disorders in support of this resolution!

Stay tuned for more updates from the WFH in coming days and weeks on the next steps towards final adoption of the resolution at the 79th World Health Assembly in May 2026.”
