Zain Iqbal: Science Alone Is Not Enough – Moving Anticoagulation Forward After ISTH 2026
Zain Iqbal, Physician and Drug Development Leader, shared a post on X:
“Back from sunny Paris and ISTH 2026
What stood out most was the pace of progress in anticoagulation and how much work remains to translate scientific advances into better outcomes for the millions of people who use these medicines.
The scale of this burden means new medicines alone will not be enough.
We also need innovative thinking across public health and healthcare systems: earlier identification of risk, better access to care, more coordinated pathways and closer collaboration between researchers, clinicians, policymakers and patient organisations.”
