Sleep Apnea: Full Breakdown from John Chuback
John Chuback, Founder of Vein and Lymphatic Summit, shared on LinkedIn:
”Many people believe sleep apnea is nothing more than loud snoring.
But, that misconception can be deadly.
Sleep apnea occurs when the airway collapses during sleep, repeatedly cutting oxygen to the brain and straining the heart.
Some individuals stop breathing dozens or even hundreds of times per night without realizing it.
Each episode triggers a surge in heart rate and blood pressure.
Over time, this repeated stress significantly increases the risk of heart attacks, strokes, dangerous arrhythmias, and sudden death during sleep.
Warning signs include loud snoring, witnessed pauses in breathing, waking up gasping or choking, and persistent daytime exhaustion despite adequate sleep.
The most important point: sleep apnea is highly treatable.
A simple sleep study can identify the problem, and treatment can literally save a life.
Watch the full breakdown here.
Did you know sleep apnea could be this dangerous?”
