”In this Viewpoint, we discuss the striking gap between the expected prevalence of von Willebrand disease (VWD) and diagnosed cases, the global burden and consequences of underdiagnosis, the reasons why underdiagnosis persists after a century, and ultimately propose strategies to guide the second 100 years of VWD care and research.”
