European Stroke Organisation shared a post on LinkedIn: about a recent article by Hanne Christensen et al, adding:
”’1 in 4 will have a stroke. It is more common than people think and it does not discriminate.’
That is why the Stroke Action Plan for Europe (SAP-E) matters.
Associate Professor Melinda Roaldsen explains how SAP-E brings together 52 countries behind one goal: to reduce the burden of stroke in Europe by improving the entire care pathway.
‘It’s the largest stroke project ever undertaken in Europe and looks beyond emergency treatment and connects prevention, stroke services, acute care, rehabilitation, life after stroke, quality monitoring and research into one joined-up plan with measurable targets and recommendations.’
