“Over the years, my work has taken me across countries, institutions, and scientific communities. Mobility, however, is only meaningful when it is built on real autonomy.
For me, women’s empowerment is not about one symbolic day.
It is about building the conditions that make real autonomy possible.
Autonomy is built through education, critical thinking, and economic independence. Without these foundations, empowerment remains only a narrative.
A society truly committed to gender equality should not celebrate women once a year. It should create the conditions for women to think freely, work with dignity, and build their own path.
Intellectual independence and financial autonomy are not privileges.
They are the foundations of real freedom.”
