Integrated Imaging in the Diagnosis of Prosthetic Valve Thrombosis and Coronary Embolism – ASE
American Society of Echocardiography shared a post on LinkedIn about a recent article by Susan K Keen et al, adding:
“Prosthetic valve thrombosis is a rare yet potentially life-threatening complication of valve replacement, often resulting from inadequate anticoagulation.
This case highlights the diagnostic value of using integrated imaging modalities to detect both obstructive prosthetic valve dysfunction and coronary embolism, ultimately guiding timely surgical intervention.”
