Up to 50% of pulmonary embolism survivors develop long-term functional impairment, including breathlessness, reduced exercise tolerance, depression, and anxiety — this review maps the recovery trajectory, identifies poor outcome predictors, and discusses interventions to improve patient quality of life.”
