Samantha Xavier: Successfully Defended My PhD Thesis on P-Selectin as a Biomarker for Venous Thromboembolism

Samantha Xavier, PHD Fellow in The Arctic University of Norway, shared a post on LinkedIn:

“Yesterday, I had the privilege and honor of defending my thesis (P-selectin as a biomarker for venous thromboembolism) for the degree of philosophiae doctor.

After a long day with lots of wonderful discussion, I walked out of the room as Dr. Xavier and am so grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way.

A huge thank you to UiT- The Arctic University of Norway for giving me the opportunity to pursue my PhD, my supervisors and colleagues at the Thrombosis Research Center, and to the committee who reviewed and challenged my thesis for making me feel like a scientific peer for the first time in my academic journey.

I will look back fondly on this day for years to come.

Now that I have wrapped up my PhD journey, I’m on the hunt for opportunities in the Greater Oslo area where I can use my expertise with epidemiology and biostatistics focusing on population-based cohorts to generate real-world evidence. If you or someone you know is hiring, feel free to reach out!” Samantha Xavier: Successfully Defended My PhD Thesis on P-Selectin as a Biomarker for Venous Thromboembolism
