Guidelines often discourage prophylactic plasma transfusion in cirrhosis, yet practice lags behind the evidence.
This article applies implementation science to close that gap, discussing audit and feedback, clinical decision support, education, and policy reform as strategies matched to local barriers.
The argument is that structured, theory-informed approaches translate transfusion guidance into consistent bedside behavior.”
